Background: Heya! I’m going to share my review of Ciaté’s Very Colourfoil Manicure Kit. I have to say that after using this kit, I’m a huge fan of nail foils <3. I’ve noticed that nail foils aren’t that common and I don’t really see them being sold individually at the store but they really should be lol. It takes a little extra time to do a design like this but it is worth it for sure if you’re looking for a really unique design. Apparently there are 3 different version to this kit, and I had the opportunity to try the ‘Kaleidoscope’ kit. For my review and first impression of the kit, read below, and for my step-by-step tutorial, view the video above!
First Impression: I have to admit I wasn’t sold on this all-in-one manicure kit at first. In the past, I’ve found that nail art kits and DIY kits in general do not work as advertised and just end up being a waste of money. I wasn’t going to bother with this kit but I just couldn’t resist the idea of foil nails, and since I hadn’t tried them before I was very curious about how my nail design would turn out. I was really drawn to the fact that all the materials needed to make this design work are all included in the one kit, so that saved me from hunting things down. Anywho, I waited for the kit to go on sale ( just in case it didn’t work out, I didn’t want to waste too much money) and I took the plunge and bought it.
Conclusion: The kit was well worth the price I paid for it. It was very convenient to have all the necessary materials in one kit and I absolutely love the final design and how super easy it was to do. The only con I’d have to say about this type of design is that the shine on the foil fades away after only a few days, even after applying top coat. So, even though this manicure doesn’t last very long, it’s awesome while it does :p.
