Final Thoughts

I absolutely loved the formulas of this collection and the added shimmers and flakies — they were a dream to work with. My favourite polish from the collection would have to be Cactus Country, for its green-to-blue-to-gold colour-shifting flakies. One thing I look forward to most from Painted Polish collections are these colour-shifting flakies — they amaze me every time! A very close second is Stamped in Terra Cotta, the stamping polish. It looks fabulous as both a wear-alone polish as well as a stamping polish. It also dries down to a slight satin finish, which creates a very unique look.

Though the terra cotta base didn’t immediately strike me as a desert theme, I do really like this colour and find it to be very versatile and suit many skin tones. If this collection’s glitter and shimmer combination looks familiar to you, it is very similar to last summer’s ‘Match Made in Denim‘ collection, which sports the same combos but with a range of blue hues. Overall, definitely a top collection for me this year.
